Definition of Exhibition
The term of exhibition is an appropriate, exceptional and singular space which in the producers and visitors could exchange goods, services and information. Exhibition is a place for direct contact between producers and visitors and presentation of new thoughts, exchanging information, showing inventions, contraption &creations.
In ancient times, exhibition was known as a festival in which prepared a place for showing goods or services .In the past, people were gathered for celebration or organizing some traditions & traces and brought some goods which they were intended for sale in the special days at a particular place.
Nowadays, exhibition has exited from its initial shape and it is became a place for research, disquisition, Evolution, extension, and accessing to the resources of goods exposure.
Exhibition history in the world
Species exhibitions are organized in the most countries of the world from the past. History of exhibition has linked with the commerce and trade. If we want to investigate the history of exhibition, we should mention Aten as world commerce center and exhibition organizing place of commercial goods in different countries.
There are different fairs from 6,000 years ago, also Fenighies as the greatest merchant’s time organized the first exhibition 2800 before b.c.
Fenighs were taking their goods by ship to the far lands for showing. Exhibitions have evaluated gently by renaissance age and industrial revolution and it paraded as seasonal, residential, intercontinental, and global events. Daily exhibitions activities were increased until international exhibition were found gradually.
The first international was organized in 1145 A.D. in laipzik(Germany) and also international exhibitions were organized in Paris which participated all over the world, Eifel towel was introduced as showing of France power & improvement at the centre of exhibition to the world.
One of the most important of exhibition was organized in Paris by The Sen River which it was changed to the great celebration. The place of exhibition was selected where Napoleon celebrated his victory after returning Italy.
France tried showing the world that compensates last defeats and it was developing. This exhibition shows its politic functions well. International exhibition was organized in Australia (Sidney) in 1879 & Melbourne in 1880.
At that time, just 50 years had passed Melbourne age.4 millions people visited this two exhibition that was very successful number for a young city like Australia.
These two exhibitions caused introducing the Australia continent to the world & show the exhibition function.
In the next years, several exhibitions were organized, for instance international exhibition in America, england, Japan, & etc… Iranian interested and paid special attention to the exhibition from long ago.
The most exhibitions of last centuries of Iran was organizing by the major seaports or grand cities which placed on the commercial conveyers way.
Fairs was holding not only by the seaports but also on the way of commercial roads like silk roads which passing from Iran that Iranians were it’s splendor with making caravansary.
Organizing exhibitions found a new shape with concentration of power in Hakhamaneshi age & holding new custom & seaport regulations & duty in sasaniyan age. In safaviyan age, a market like (fair) like an exhibition was held in Isfahan. In Ghajariye age organized great exhibition in Tabriz by Abas mirza’s effort that showed Iranians handicrafts.
There were merchants from countries like Russia & ottoman Naseredin shah visited Vian exhibition in his first travel in1248 to Austria and after returning to Iran decided to create a permanent fair ground for exhibitions like Europeans.
Iran’s participation in the foreign exhibition for the first time was in the year 1851 encounter holding London crystal pales exhibition which by the Mirza taggi khan Amir kabir statement ,industries manufacturers had participated the first useful step for achieving exhibition organizing was in 1337,ihis exhibition was organized by the Italian manufacturer. Law formation of international exhibition company was authorized in 1343 & Asian International exhibition was organized with 33 participants in Tehran.
The first international exhibition of Tehran was organized in 1352 after organizing Asian exhibition which organized 26 commercial & international exhibition in Tehran & it is organizing specialized from 1380.

Exhibitions are divided according to the subject and place.
Market: It has been started from 6,000 years ago which is called fairs.
Local Exhibition:
It is organized in a special city or place like spring clothes exhibition each year on March.
Regional Exhibition:
It is organized in a province or geographic region.
National Exhibition:
Commercial, industrial, technical, cultural & development of country are shown.
Inter Continental Exhibition:
It is organized between two or more world’s continents.
Public International Exhibition
Different goods like consuming & investing for public are shown for public in this exhibition
such as Tehran international & commercial exhibition.
Specialized International Exhibition:
Its time is limited which in shows special goods & related industries like international exhibition of leather, Machinery, ….
Information International Exhibition:
The latest technology & knowledge changes have been shown. Usually it is it is organized once per 2 or 4 years like International exhibition of informatics in German.
Countries Specialized Exhibition:
This kind of exhibition is organized in a country by the order of one another country which its aim is marketing and caused to strengthen the economical & politic relationship of countries like specialized exhibition of Iran in Australia.
Expo Exhibition:
Expo exhibitions consider commercial affairs and it is not organized up to now.
